Abstract
In the article, an attempt has been made to discover and explain the main problem of "exact understanding of divine names and attributes" with a rational approach and comparative research method of descriptive-analytical type. And based on Augustine's and Mulla Sadra Shirazi's point of view, explaining the names and attributes so that their accurate understanding leads to the strengthening of faith and ultimately correcting the behavior of the students. Thinkers in every era have introduced God with names and attributes. Before the religion of Islam, thinkers introduced God as an immutable and incorruptible God, of course, without effective communication with the world; but Saint Augustine "God is eternal, transcendent, pure goodness, omnipotent, omniscient and absolute of all." He has introduced "directions" and the wonders of the world, such as: order, beauty, change and transformation, indicate that this world and its wonders must be the creation of such a God. Contrary to all sages before him, Mulla Sadr Niza started from the truth of existence to prove the existence of God; Because it considers existence as an objective, single and simple truth. Existence has been regarded as doubtful and the difference of existence as intensity and weakness and perfection and imperfection. The highest order of existence, which is without defects and needs and is infinite in all aspects, is called God. "O people, you are poor before Allah, and by Allah, He is Al-Ghani Al-Hamid. (Al-Fatir/15)" and this concept of God and His attributes is different from the concepts of God in other divine religions. Both sages have described the attributes of God, including being generous, being eternal, eternal, and pure, which are the most famous attributes. It is his generosity.
