Criminological analysis of the use of illegal performance enhancing drugs among athletes from the perspective of Akers social theories

Abstract
Nowadays, the use of performance-enhancing drugs among athletes has spread a lot, and it has brought many problems since the past, but it has not been addressed in criminological studies, both in Iran and in other countries. The purpose of this research The etiology of the use of illegal energy-enhancing drugs by professional athletes is based on Acker's social learning theory and also provides solutions to prevent the use of these drugs. For this purpose, 320 football players were selected and studied by random sampling method. The collected data was analyzed and tested using Smart pls software. The results indicated that there is a significant relationship between the 4 variables of differential association, differential reinforcement, definitions and imitation with the use of stimulant drugs and differential reinforcement is able to predict the use of illegal stimulant drugs by athletes more than other variables (44 /0beta=). Other results showed that early and social prevention with emphasis on family-based prevention programs through efficient parenting, increasing self-control in children, as well as education-based prevention programs by providing views and anti-doping training to groups Vulnerable target, such as teenagers and young people, can prevent the use of energizing drugs in athletes
