Children, like adults, have the right to be treated with respect, to be educated in the best possible way, and to play and have fun according to their age. No one has the right to deprive children and teenagers of these rights. Paying attention to this issue caused different countries to ratify the Convention on the Rights of the Child in 1989. Since then, attention to the rights of children and adolescents has been one of the main concerns of advanced societies. Iran also joined this convention in 1372 and is obliged to comply with it. Of course, some experts on children's rights in Iran believed that other regulations should be passed in the country.As a result, a document entitled the National Document on the Rights of Children and Adolescents has recently been promulgated. This document, which was announced in Shahrivar 1400, has brought different reactions. The 1979 Convention on the Rights of the Child is one of the most important and comprehensive documents that have been compiled in the field of protecting the rights of children around the world. This document is of special importance in terms of having international legal enforcement and has made many commitments to the governments, and therefore it can be considered the best and most precious gift to the children of the world.
