According to the doctrine of sustainable development, every human generation is obliged to exploit the earth's resources in such a way that, while providing for its own needs, it does not harm the resources necessary to meet the needs of future generations. Ecocide should be considered a serious threat against sustainable development because ecocide severely destroys the environment and natural resources of nations, and in addition to threatening environmental security, it also shakes the foundations of economic and social security. The direct consequence of ecocide is the collapse of the economic security of societies, which in turn leads to the emergence or spread of social crises such as poverty, unemployment, homelessness, delinquency, displacement, and the like. Therefore, these environmental crimes cause human rights violations. It becomes a human being and exposes humans to danger, which is considered a crime against humanity, therefore it is necessary to be placed in the center of domestic and international law systems and a common criminal policy should be adopted in order to The occurrence of ecocide should be prevented and the crime against humanity and the impunity of the perpetrators should be put an end to. In this article, we intend to examine the international human rights mechanisms to deal with ecocide as a crime against humanity.
