According to the evidence of religious texts (based on verses and narrations), the practice of toryeh has been ongoing since the time of the divine prophets until the era of the Imams of Guidance (peace be upon them) in order to protect one's religion, life, honor, property, and belongings and from others. The use of toryeh in a social context in interaction with others, for the purpose of companionship and harmony, and in confrontation with rulers, for the purpose of not being vulnerable, has been like a defensive-security shield. Now the question is whether toryeh, with its documentation, was a coincidental phenomenon only during the time of the prophets and divine saints, or did it have a temporal scope, continuing now and in the future? In this research, which is based on a library, analytical-descriptive method, an attempt is made to argue with the help of rational and narrative evidence on the temporal scope of toryeh. On the one hand, we rely on the ruling of reason and the necessity of defense in case of danger, and on the issuance of the ruling of the Sharia in case of the need for confrontation and interaction in society, and on the other hand, we argue for its temporal development by citing the current trend of the criteria of the Sharia in the present tense and the absence of temporal constraints in religious texts and the absence of rational obstacles.
