Child marriage is a social and human rights issue that is particularly prevalent in many countries, especially in regions with traditional cultures and social and economic inequalities. This phenomenon occurs due to gender discrimination, poverty, and social pressures, leading to profound negative impacts on the lives of children, especially girls. Early marriage not only results in the loss of educational opportunities but also increases health risks, domestic violence, and perpetuates the cycle of poverty. To address this issue, there is a need for effective legal and social strategies.Strengthening laws prohibiting child marriage, raising awareness within communities, providing social and economic support for families, and establishing efficient oversight bodies are essential strategies in this regard. Enacting strict laws that specify the minimum age for marriage and impose effective penalties for violations can help reduce this phenomenon. Furthermore, educating the community about the harms of child marriage and the importance of education for girls can lead to positive cultural changes. In addition, providing economic and social support to families will alleviate economic pressures and help prevent early marriages. The establishment of independent bodies to monitor the implementation of laws and support victims is also critical. Ultimately, only through international cooperation and sharing best practices can effective measures be taken against child marriage, promoting human rights and ensuring a better future for generations to come.
