Background and Objective: To investigate the impact of cyberspace on delinquency of children and adolescents, both boys and girls, in the Urmia Correctional and Education Center.
Research Method: It was conducted in two stages and in two qualitative and quantitative parts. In the qualitative part, to answer the first research question and to determine the factors affecting the influence of children and adolescents on cyberspace, a semi-structured interview was used. In the quantitative part, to answer the second and third research questions and to determine and rank the factors affecting delinquency of children and adolescents in cyberspace, a researcher-made questionnaire was used. The statistical population was children and adolescents introduced to the Urmia Correctional and Education Center, of which 105 were sampled using the Morgan table sampling method and a simple random sample.
Conclusion: According to the results obtained in this study, it can be stated that there is a significant and positive relationship between the use of cyberspace and the components of promiscuity, violence, weak religious beliefs, and intellectual doubts in children and adolescents.
