Social anomie, as a state of abnormality and collapse of the value system, is considered one of the most important factors affecting the emergence and spread of violent crimes in contemporary societies. In conditions where social cohesion decreases and common norms lose their function, people become more prone to aggressive and violent behaviors. This article examines the relationship between social anomie and the increase in violent crimes with a sociological and legal approach and shows that the lack of value order can directly affect the increase in crime rates and the severity of violence in society. The research findings indicate that factors such as the weakness of supervisory institutions, the decline in social capital, the feeling of injustice, and the inefficiency of legal and administrative mechanisms are among the most important contexts for the spread of social anomie, which ultimately exacerbate the occurrence of violent crimes. At the end of the article, while analyzing these factors, solutions are presented to strengthen social cohesion and redefine the functions of the legal system in order to reduce the effects of anomie and curb violence.
