The knowledge of the unseen of the Imams (peace be upon them) in theology has always been the focus of theologians and commentators. Imamate is the continuation of the responsibilities of the Prophet (peace be upon him) (except for receiving legislative revelation). The Imam, as a religious authority, must be able to make decisions based on knowledge of hidden realities (such as the intentions of individuals, future events, and the interests of society). This intellectual requirement requires having knowledge beyond ordinary knowledge.
This research is conducted using a library method in an analytical-descriptive manner and using narrative sources. In this regard, there are many narrations in the Shiite and sometimes Sunni narrative communities. The narrations from the infallibles are summarized in two groups: a. Narrations that deny the knowledge of the unseen of the Prophet and the Imam (peace be upon them), b. Narrations that prove the knowledge of the unseen of the Prophet and the Imam (peace be upon them). The narrations proving the Imam's knowledge of the unseen are so numerous that they cannot be counted. In addition, the narrations denying the Imam's knowledge of the unseen are both open to interpretation and do not have the power to counter the narrations proving the knowledge of the unseen of the Prophet (PBUH) and the Imams
