Spiritual education is one of the fundamental dimensions of leadership development in the Islamic system, rooted in the teachings of the Holy Qur'an and the thoughts of Imam Khomeini (RA) and Ayatollah Khamenei. This study aims to explain the Qur'anic model of the spiritual education of commanders based on the perspectives of the two Leaders of the Islamic Revolution. The research was conducted using a descriptive–analytical method and library-based sources. The findings indicate that monotheism (Tawhid), self-purification (Tazkiyah), piety (Taqwa), sincerity (Ikhlas), trust in God (Tawakkul), patience (Sabr), insight (Basirah), and jihad constitute the core components of this model. Within this framework, Tawhid serves as the theological foundation; Tazkiyah and Taqwa provide the basis for moral self-development; Ikhlas refines intentions; Tawakkul and Sabr strengthen psychological resilience; Basirah enables wise and strategic decision-making; and Jihad represents the practical manifestation of spiritual education in leadership. The analysis of the views of Imam Khomeini (RA) and Ayatollah Khamenei demonstrates that the authority of an Islamic commander is founded not merely on military capability but primarily on spiritual, ethical, and intellectual competencies. Therefore, the proposed Qur'anic model can serve as a theoretical framework for enhancing the education and training of commanders in the Armed Forces of the Islamic Republic of Iran.
