Since the social environment and urban context have a great impact on the culture and spirituality of city dwellers; Governments are doing their best to improve cities; Since the holy religion of Islam is a social religion, it has also given importance to this aspect of human life and has issued various rulings on how to build cities; Therefore, the study of these rulings and their implementation in urban planning is necessary for Islamic countries today. Urban jurisprudence, as one of the branches of civilization jurisprudence, has the mission of explaining these rules and seeks to extract Islamic principles in the field of urban planning from valid Islamic sources by ijtihad method. The present study uses a descriptive-analytical method to study these principles in different dimensions of urban planning. As a result, it can be said that the center of cities is the city mosque and the appropriate model of construction is horizontal and high-rise construction has caused irreparable damage and construction is prohibited more than necessary and urban planning should be to increase moral and physical security.
