This article examines the intellectual property protection system within the framework of the World Trade Organization. TRIPS, which is one of the agreements of the World Trade Organization, plays a decisive role in this field. This article, while explaining the structure and key provisions of TRIPS, examines the objectives and principles of this agreement and its relationship with other agreements for the protection of intellectual property such as the Berne Convention and the Paris Convention. The article also addresses the challenges of implementing the agreement in developing countries, and in this regard, points out the weakness of the implementation system and issues related to economic development. Finally, it is concluded that TRIPS requires greater attention to implementation challenges and the adoption of flexible approaches to ensure the interests of all members of the World Trade Organization.
